Both articles are fantastic, especially part 2 where they do an overview of all the major renderers on the market. What I found really interesting is the embedded video that shows Modo/Nuke integration. In the video (link), you can see changes in Modo being rendered into Nuke's frame buffer.
I'm hoping that there's some sort of announcement that this will become a product at Siggraph, but the article hints that you'll have to talk to Foundry people at their booth in order to get the news on it.
Very promising and exciting news. Hopefully they're working on integrating Modo's renderer into Mari and Katana as well.
